Arena Pharmaceuticals said it is raising $52.1 million through a public offering of 12.5 million shares at $4.17 a share. The San Diego company, which is working toward approval of a weight-loss drug known as lorcaserin, had announced plans for a stock offering Tuesday without providing details.
