Description: Yoh has a contract opportunity for an Associate Scientist to join our client in San Diego, CA.

Job Overview:
Our client is currently seeking to fill an Associate Scientist position in the Protein Pharmaceutical Development Department.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in protein formulation development activities to support preclinical, clinical and commercial drug development teams. A background in biopharmaceutical product development with experience in formulation development or protein stabilization is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for supporting product development activities including pre-formulation characterization, formulation design, biophysical characterization and the management of stability studies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• BS or MS in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Pharmaceutics/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience with protein formulation and analysis is required.
• A BS or MS in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Pharmaceutics/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years biopharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Excellent laboratory, computer, documentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with protein formulation and analysis is required.
• Hands-on experience in a protein biochemistry laboratory setting including protein formulation, HPLC, and one or more biophysical techniques such as DSC, fluorescence and CD are highly desirable.
• This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work well independently and as part of a team.
