The San Diego Biotechnology Network will be seven years old this October, can you believe it? We got a nice makeover thanks to Brianne Grajkowski recently in anticipation of our Founder Mary Canady’s presentation at Ignite San Diego on supporting San Diego scientists. The new logo is about connecting people who work in different scientific disciplines, and also about reaching out to non-scientists about the great biotech research and product development being done in San Diego. To celebrate this new look, we’re hosting a speed networking event July 27th. These events are always very popular, attracting 100+ people and they’re the best way to connect with others in biotech whether you’re looking for a job, doing business development, or maintaining your network.
Additionally, for this event we’re extending a special invitation to local organizations that promote science outreach and communication. Connecting with these people during speed networking and learning about their organizations’ work is good karma, and getting involved benefits us all. Here is a list of the organizations we’ll invite and feature, and let us know if we’ve missed yours.
- Ignite San Diego
- League of Extraordinary Scientists & Engineers
- Reuben H. Fleet Science Museum/Two Scientist Walk Into A Bar
- The Wet Lab/San Diego Library Citizen Science Lectureship
- San Diego Science & Engineering Festival
- TSRI Society of Fellows Open Mic Night
- UCSD Postdoc Association/Research Symposium September 14
