GMP Facility Maintenance Position with La Jolla Biotech Company

Details: Aerotek San Diego is looking for a facility maintenance technician to work for a client based in La Jolla. Details can be found below. Shift: 1st and 2nd shift Pay: $18-25 per hour Duration: 6 month contract to hire Facility Maintenance Tech Responsibilities: Maintain major facility systems and infrastructure including; computerized building control and monitoring systems, power and lighting systems, compressed gasses and vacuum, air supply and ventilation, DI water systems, sanitary facilities and plumbing Perform routine equipment repair and installation of laboratory and office furniture, fixtures, and equipment Rearrange office areas as requested; move furniture, computers, etc. Monitor office equipment and undertake or arrange for the repairs by contacting appropriate technicians and oversee repairs Provide instruction to new employees as to the proper use of security badges and related building access and equipment Monitor the temperature throughout the facility, making needed adjustments to maintain the comfort of employees Maintain the parking lots, stairwells and walkways and assists with grounds cleanup maintenance duties Fulfill requests for ongoing and special room needs and meeting setups May operate a motor vehicle to transport supplies and furniture between office locations At level II performs daily tasks to support minor and routine facility maintenance tasks and repairs including: the installation of lab and office furniture, fixtures, and equipment along with minor painting, plumbing, and electrical work At level II represent company in audits by local regulatory authorities including Department of Health, Wastewater, Air Pollution Control District, Fire Department, and other agencies At level II maintain Hazardous Materials Business Plan and manages hazardous waste disposal per regulations At senior level maintains major facility systems and building infrastructure including; computerized building control and monitoring system, power and lighting systems, compressed gasses, vacuum, ventilation, DI water system and plumbing. Senior level is more specialized and skilled in trades such as HVAC, calibration and repair services. Experienced Assembler – biomedical/medical device

Details: Experienced Assembler – Biomedical / Medical Device , Carlsbad, CA Kelly Scientific Resources, a division of Kelly Services, is currently seeking Experienced Assemblers with biomedical/medical device industry experience to work with a leading clinical diagnostics company located in Carlsbad, CA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performing a filling operation by inserting a pump line into a port and filling a pouch using an automated fill station. Weighing the filled pouch to make sure it has proper amount of liquid, using a balance or a scale, and being able to understand a numeric weight range. Manipulating filled pouch with hands or fixture to remove air bubbles. Assembling a finished device, using two filled pouches and another empty pouch, installing them with metal clips, by hand, into a plastic housing, then installing the lid, using a hand operated jig/fixture and pressing down on the housing. Use computer to generate labels. Affixing an adhesive backed label to the outside of the housing. Making a sub-assembly on a separate work order called an inlet port, which is then attached to the pouch. Consists of assembling three small pieces, two go inside the large one and then pushing it down with a jig. Job Requirements: High School diploma GMP experience or previous training, and/or experience working in a medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment. Previous experience performing medical device assembly in a cleanroom environment strongly preferred. Experience with heating elements and fluidics would be helpful Experience working with a computer/computer operated equipment Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Clean Room Requirements: No cosmetics, perfumes or lotions. Scientist – Manufacturing Support – Bioprocess Development

As part of the process developmentteam, the individual will work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing Groupsto develop robust mammalian cell culture processes that are scalable formanufacturing.
